Newsmax makes Drudge Report look respectable
Guess what: “Psychoanalyst: Williams Masked Demons“. At least according to the headline of an email alert I received from Newsmax.com.
A few weeks ago I clicked through on an ad to participate in an online survey sponsored by Newsmax.com. Being bottom feeders desperate for subscriptions they force you to enter an email address. This is purportedly to validate you are a human participating in their poll. Even though I unselected the option to subscribe to their email alerts, you guessed it, I’ve been getting two or three a day ever since. Thankfully Google’s email filters flag it all as spam.
The body of the article actually refers to statements by “Yale University professor Heath King”. Not surprisingly when I googled “heath king yale university” the top hits were for Newsmax articles. I didn’t bother to investigate any further as to whether he actually obtained a doctorate from Yale. The fact that Google thinks his most notable accomplishment is to be quoted by Newsmax is enough to tell me Heath King is a quack. Somewhat surprisingly his quoted statements don’t actually refer to religious demons.
